Darby Wright is a self-taught acrylic and digital painter. They sell buttons, postcards, and other wholesale small merch through their shop, OKDOODLE. Darby's mission is to make comforting, encouraging, and accessible art. They believe that access to art is a human right, and that something as small as a button can be an unlikely source of solace. Their work is often inspired by nature and space, as well as various forms of media. They have developed a unique style that is a mix of psychedelic, flat, and abstract styles. Darby lives in Oklahoma City with their partner, son, and 3 kitties.
"I love making art that is spontaneous and intuitive. Each piece contains a bit of wisdom that has encouraged or comforted me in some way. They're created as a way to meditate on the message. I want to be able to share that comfort and encouragement with others. I hope my lil buttons are a big reminder that you're not alone, you can do it, and things will be different (for better or worse). That you are loved, and deserving of love & comfort. I hope they help. "
